Dog travel guide

Airline dog policies, compared

The four questions that decide your booking: does your dog fit the cabin, does the airline fly dogs in the hold, is your breed embargoed, and what crate do they demand.

Plan this routeCabin, cargo, breed and crate checks

How to read this table

Cabin limits are typically dog + carrier combined. "Brachy" = brachycephalic (snub-nosed) breeds: Bulldogs, Pugs, Boxers, Boston Terriers, Shih Tzus, Pekingese and similar. Policies change often — treat this as your shortlist, then verify on the airline's live policy page before paying for anything.
