Official Import Rules
Slovakia follows EU pet regulations, under the framework in effect since 22 April 2026 (Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/131 and related implementing rules). From EU countries: EU Pet Passport with ISO microchip and current rabies vaccination. From listed third countries: health certificate, microchip, and rabies vaccination. From non-listed third countries: FAVN titer test with 3-month wait. Non-EU arrivals must enter through a designated airport: Bratislava (BTS), Košice (KSC), Poprad, Žilina, Piešťany, or Sliač. Confirm the current designated entry points with ŠVPS SR before booking, as only these airports are authorized for document and identity checks of pets from outside the EU.
