City & Housing Notes

Kuwait City (Salmiya, Hawally, Mishref) is the primary destination. Kuwait has a large expat community (~70% of population) and a growing pet culture. Several good vet clinics. Many apartments and villas welcome dogs. AC essential year-round.

Vets & Health After Arrival

Good vet care in Kuwait City with several modern clinics catering to expats. Costs are moderate. Summer heat is extreme (50°C+) — dogs must be kept indoors with AC. Year-round flea and tick prevention needed.

Leaving Kuwait With Your Dog

Exit requires a health certificate and export permit from PAAFR. Processing takes 3–5 working days.
