Finland

Official Import Rules

Finland follows EU pet regulations. From EU countries: EU Pet Passport with ISO microchip and current rabies vaccination. From listed third countries: health certificate, microchip, and rabies vaccination. From non-listed third countries: FAVN titer test with 3-month wait. Tapeworm (echinococcosis) treatment is NOT required for dogs — Ruokavirasto confirms dogs and ferrets are fully exempt from this treatment, regardless of country of origin or entry point. Tapeworm treatment applies only to dogs. Pets must be reported to Finnish Customs on arrival. Entry through Helsinki-Vantaa (HEL) is the most common international gateway.
