Thailand's Department of Livestock Development (DLD) oversees all pet imports through Bangkok. Requirements include an import permit (apply 15+ days in advance), rabies vaccination, health certificate endorsed by the origin country's government vet, and a DLD-issued import permit. Thailand does not have mandatory quarantine for dogs with complete documentation.

Apply for the Thai import permit at least 15 days before arrival through the nearest Thai embassy/consulate or the DLD directly. Health certificate must be issued within 5 days of departure. Thailand's climate is extremely hot — avoid cargo transit March–May if possible. Bangkok has many international-standard veterinary hospitals.
The critical address is usually the cargo, animal reception, quarantine or border-inspection facility. Use this as a starting map search, then confirm the exact entrance with the airline, facility or receiving agent before travelling.

Send document scans early where the facility offers pre-checks, and confirm whether the airline treats your dog as cabin, checked baggage, AVIH or manifest cargo.
Wait for clearance updates. Cargo and animal reception facilities are often outside passenger terminals and may need a taxi, car or agent appointment.
Bring photo ID, original veterinary documents, microchip details, airway bill numbers, agent contacts and a charged phone.
